The Ukrainian Walnut Association was represented at the conference by Nina Smirnova, a representative of the association and head of the Nuts and Garden Group.
The work at the conference was also aimed at creating a National Export Strategy for Ukraine, which effectively links national and regional policies.

NEWS FROM THE WALNUT ASSOCIATION


At the invitation of the Reform Support Fund in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Walnut Association took part in the international conference "Export Strategy and Regional Economic Development: Institutional Capacity for Implementation", which took place on February 5 at the Summit Business Center, Kyiv.


The purpose of the conference: To discuss the content of the future export strategy of Ukraine, which is being developed on the basis of a broad national political dialogue with the participation of all stakeholders, and further participation in the formation of an effective export strategy of Ukraine.


The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in cooperation with the German federal humanitarian company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and with the financial support of the Government of Japan. It brought together representatives of government bodies, businesses, international organizations and public associations.


The Ukrainian Walnut Association was represented at the conference by the representative of the association, head of the "NUTS'EN'GARDEN" FG Nina Smirnova.

The work at the conference was also aimed at creating a National Export Strategy for Ukraine that effectively links national and regional policies.

Speaking at the conference, Oleksandr Palazov, Director of the Department of Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, pointed to the assistance for businesses from the Entrepreneur Support Office in consulting issues, assistance in digitalization, and in developing access to international markets.

Hagen Etner, Director of the ReACT4UA/EU4Business Program, GIZ outlined further steps for Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises to take advantage of the opportunities of the Association Agreement with the EU. through the new “Step to the EU” program

Yuriy Shkil, Executive Director of the Public Organization "Reform Support Fund in Ukraine", focused on support in those areas indicated by Ukrainian business.

Andriy Dligach and Andriy Stavytsky, CEOs of the Center for Social Change and Behavioral Economics, pointed to a separate inconsistency between state authorities in developing exports as a priority area in the economy.

During the conference, representatives of government and business emphasized the importance of dialogue for developing an effective export strategy that meets Ukraine's needs and anticipates challenges.


During the event, speakers emphasized the important role of international partners, the government, and the private sector in promoting the development of Ukraine's export potential, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.
